    About the course

    The courses draw upon the extensive portfolio of subjects already developed by the Faculty of Business, the subject offerings of other faculties of CSU and any tertiary study you may previously have undertaken. This course allows you to construct a program of study that you individually consider will best meet your future needs.

    The nomenclature on your testamur will be Bachelor of Business Studies. N.B. There are no specialisations in this program.

    International students may study this specialisation through CSU regional campuses or the CSU Study Centre Sydney or Melbourne.

    Where it will take you

    As the course is a flexible, generalist undergraduate degree, there are a wide range of opportunities available to graduates.

    Graduation requirements

    To graduate from the Bachelor of Business Studies, students must satisfactorily complete 192 points (24 undergraduate subjects).

    To graduate from the University Certificate in Business Studies, students are required to:.

        * complete eight standard subjects or their equivalent (where a standard subject is 8 points)
        * complete at least two thirds of the eight standard subjects (i.e. at least six out of eight subjects) in business-based or business related discipline areas approved by the Course Coordinator
        * complete all eight standard business subjects by undertaking subjects taught by CSU or subjects designated as 'CSU subjects' (i.e. those subjects offered under affiliation agreements between CSU and external organisations).

    Note: No credits are granted for the University Certificate in Business Studies.

    In order to exit the course and be awarded the Associate Degree in Business Studies from CSU, students are required to:

        * complete 16 standard subjects or their equivalent (where a standard subject is 8 points)
        * complete at least two thirds of the 16 standard subjects (i.e. 11 out of 16 subjects) in business-based or business related discipline areas approved by the Course Coordinator, including at least four subjects at Level 2
        * complete at least half of the 16 standard subjects (i.e. at least eight subjects) by taking subjects taught by CSU

    Articulation and credit

    The University Certificate in Business Studies articulates with the Bachelor of Business Studies and all subjects completed in the University Certificate are credited towards the Bachelor degree.

    Note: upon graduation with the University Certificate in Business Studies, those wishing to continue with the Bachelor of Business Studies will need to apply for admission.

    No credit is allowed in the University Certificate in Business Studies. All eight subjects in the program must be completed.

    Students in the degree programs may use the University Certificate as an exit point should they decide to withdraw from the Bachelor of Business program, however, the students must meet the University Certificate criteria (i.e. no credit granted in the course) to be able to exit with the award.

    The Associate Degree in Business Studies is an exit point should a student decide to withdraw from the Bachelor of Business Studies program.

    TAFE integrated program

    CSU offers a joint TAFE/University study program available through Griffith and Wagga Wagga campuses.

    Depending on which campus you choose to study through, graduates gain up to four nationally recognised qualifications: Certificate IV in Business Management (BSB41101), Diploma in Business Management (BSB50401), Advanced Diploma in Business Management (BSB60201) and the Bachelor of Business Studies.
