Objectives:
Enables graduates to teach from year 1 to year 10 in government and non-government schools. The course allows students to specialise in two study areas of the following five: Math, Science, English, Society and Environment or Health and Physical Education. The course is comprised of on campus attendance and practical components in a variety of schools settings including Early Childhood, Primary, Middle and Secondary schools. Students are equipped for the special requirements of teaching in a regional or remote setting whilst gaining all the skills for teaching in metropolitan areas or internationally.
Entry Requirements:
All students enrolling in this course will be required to submit a National Criminal History Check Information Clearance (Crimtrac) before commencing their first period of Professional Practice - further information can be found at the Department of Education and Training Screening website. All students aged 18 years and over, will also need to apply for a Working with Children Check in order to complete their Professional Practice - further information can be found at the Working With Children Check website.
