Comments about Bachelor of Science (Actuarial and Applied Statistics) - On Campus - Bentley - Western Australia

  • Objectives
This double major, which can be taken as part of the Bachelor of Science - School of Science and Computing, will develop your knowledge in statistics and prepare you to apply it in the fields of finance, banking and insurance. Much of the recent work in these disciplines relies on statistical techniques developed and applied from more general statistical frameworks. The demand for risk management skills is very strong in Australia and overseas as the investment markets develop more sophisticated products and services and the insurance market faces more complicated factors such as global warming and terrorism. Many of the basic fundamental models in these areas are developed using statistical methods. Upon completion of this course you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Actuarial and Applied Statistics).
