Objectives:
The fashion industry is an exciting place to work. It requires practical skills as well as creative flair and an eye for colour, design, function and form. At GippsTAFE you'll develop your skills through hands on, project based learning. All courses include a high level of interaction with industry. This course will give you a basic understanding of design and localised distribution. It is particularly suitable for those who are self-employed undertaking low volume production for local outlets, e.g. markets. You'll develop a deeper understanding of design, garment construction and finishing, pattern grading and product marketing. You'll train under expert staff with up-to-the minute industry experience.
Entry Requirements:
* Interview, folio and appropriate past academic performance * Preference will be given to students who have completed Certificate II in Textiles, Clothing and Footwear.
