Course Outline
Entry to Certificate III is generally restricted to apprentices employed in the building and
construction industries and involves broad-based training in housing and commercial
construction.
Course Duration
Part Time: 24 Weeks (reduced to 12 weeks with successful completion of Certificate II in
Building and Construction)
Subjects Include
Use Explosive Power Tools
Remove/Replace Door and Window Furniture
Construct and Install Non-Load-Bearing Internal Partition Walls
Basic Setting Out
Construct and Erect Timber Wall Framing
Erect Timber Pitched Roof Framing
Install Sub-Floor Framing
Install Timber and Sheet Flooring plus two electives
