Objectives:
The Certificate IV in Frontline Management and the Diploma of Management will equip you with comprehensive skills and knowledge to work at management level in organisations in many sectors of industry. The Certificate IV in Frontline Management covers self management, operational management, teams, risk and project management. At the Diploma level you will study continuous improvement, change and workplace learning, staff recruitment and performance and budgets and financial planning. On completion of the Certificate IV in Frontline Management and/or the Diploma of Management, graduates will have enhanced employment prospects in a broad range of industries. Graduates will be able to confidently commence careers as managers or supervisors. The courses are based at the Gordon’s City Campus, Fenwick St, Geelong and are delivered by the School of Business and Management. You will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Frontline Management or the Diploma of Management on successful completion of all required competencies.
Entry Requirements:
You will need to complete a Direct Entry Application Form. You will be expected to have suitable language, literacy, numeracy and communication skills needed to undertake the Certificate IV in Frontline Management or the Diploma of Management. Attendance may be required at a course information session.

Duration
The Certificate IV in Frontline Management and the Diploma of Management are studied part-time over one year. Classroom attendance is a maximum of eight hours (two nights) per week.
Student intakes are generally February and July.
Selection Criteria
If you are interested in studying the Certificate IV in Frontline Management or the Diploma of Management you must apply directly to the Gordon Institute.
You will need to complete a Direct Entry Application Form – this form is available from Course Information.
If applications exceed course places then applicants will be required to attend an information session or interview.
Preference will be given to applicants who are able to satisfactorily demonstrate an interest in the business services industry at the interview.
