  • Objectives
    This course is specifically aimed at teachers and other professionals as a form of professional development and training. It is not a basic requirement for employment. It is designed to provide teachers of religious education and other professionals in the field of religion with a sound understanding of contemporary theology and biblical studies and to provide opportunities to reflect on theological dimensions of professional and social life. It is anticipated that this course will provide a pathway to further postgraduate study within Theology. Learning outcomes At the completion of this award will have acquired knowledge and skills in several areas of contemporary academic theology.
  • Entry requirements
    Applicants must normally hold an approved three year degree or equivalent qualification from a tertiary institution. However, the Faculty Board may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature. CREDIT Limited credit may be granted for relevant topics taken at the University or other institutions.

    The Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies is an 18-unit program offered by the Faculty of Education, Humanities, Law and Theology on a fee-paying basis. It is taught at the Adelaide College of Divinity.
