  • Objectives
    The Graduate Certificate Urban Development and Sustainability provides graduates with an introduction to the issues of urban development, construction management, urban sustainability and fundamental financial structures. This is a stand alone program, however articulation to the Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Development and Sustainability may be granted to those who achieve a minimum GPA of 2 (65%) and approval of the Dean, Faculty of Business, Technology and Sustainable Development. Students enrolled in a Master of Urban Development and Sustainability may exit after one semester and graduate with a Graduate Certificate of Urban Development and Sustainability.
  • Entry requirements
    Admission to the Graduate Certificate Urban Development and Sustainability will require the successful completion of any undergraduate degree from an approved tertiary institution; OR Qualifications and/or extensive, relevant professional experience deemed equivalent to the above by the Dean, Faculty of Business, Technology and Sustainable Development.

    Enrolment

    International Students: To fulfil your student visa requirements, you’ll need to enrol in 40cp per semester.
    Domestic Students: You have the option of undertaking either 30 or 40cp per semester.

    Bond’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.

    Intensive Mode Delivery*

    Intensive Mode Delivery (IMD) is a compacted and time efficient way for students to complete their postgraduate qualification with minimal impact for students on their work/home lifestyle.
    It is anticipated that students will attend two, 3-day sessions, per subject, scheduled Thursday to Saturday each week. Approximately 6 to 8 contact hours per day. Students will receive approximately 40 hours of combined lectures, discussion groups, case studies and workshops during their weekly contact hours.
    Intensive Mode Delivery is currently available to domestic students only. International students should enquire with the Faculty of Business, Technology and Sustainable Development.

    Professional Outcomes

    The Graduate Certificate Urban Development and Sustainability provides graduates with an introduction to the tools and techniques to allow them to obtain employment in property related fields such as property development and commercial real estate agency.
