Objectives:
The Tertiary Enabling Program gives students the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they will need for successful achievement in tertiary studies. It is suitable for students who wish to study at a diploma or degree level but who have not achieved an adequate Tertiary Entrance Rank or lack the confidence to gain entry into higher education. Successful completion of the Orientation to Tertiary Study course, followed by the Preparation for Tertiary Study course, will allow students to meet the minimum entry requirements for most Charles Darwin University Bachelor degrees.
Entry Requirements:
Students will be assessed before gaining entry and must be over 18 years of age at the commencement of the program Additional Application Requirements Applicants will be required to undertake an online TEP Test (Maths and English) to determine if they will be required to enrol into TEP1 Orientation to Tertiary Study or if they can enter directly into TEP2 Preparation for Tertiary Study. Students must complete all the units within TEP1 before they will be permitted to continue to TEP2.

Course Structure
The Tertiary Enabling Program has two stages. All students that successfully complete the TEP Test (Maths and English) proceed to either TEP1 Orientation to Tertiary Study, or directly to TEP2 Preparation for Tertiary Study.
TEP1 "Orientation to Tertiary Study" is a four unit program which is one semester long if undertaken full time. Successful completion of this stage prepares students for the second stage, Preparation for Tertiary Study.
TEP2 "Preparation for Tertiary Study" is a four unit program which is one semester long if undertaken full time. It consists of three core units and one elective. Successful completion of this stage prepares students to undertake Tertiary Study at CDU.
CDU students currently enrolled in a HE award course who need to supplement their maths or other skills will be able to enrol directly into the relevant TEP units after confirming the most suitable support option with the TEP theme leader.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 40 credit points made up of three Core units and one Elective unit as detailed below.
