The Major in Civil Systems prepares you for the demands of the profession. It sits within the context of the Bachelor of Environments to teach you the importance of working within multidisciplinary teams.
If you seek a career in civil engineering, you will complete the Bachelor of Environments with a major in Civil Systems, followed by the two-year Master of Engineering (Civil or Structural). The five-year Bachelor-Masters combination leads to professional accreditation by Engineers Australia.
Civil engineers may specialise in structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering, transport and land use planning or project management.
