Contemporary Singing Techniques Course

  • Course description In this 12-week course participants will explore advanced technical and stylistic elements of contemporary voice. Taught by staff from the VCA, this dynamic course will build upon to the requirements necessary to develop to an advanced or professional level. This course focuses on building vocal reliability and endurance, developing authentic modern vocal styles, improving musicianship, building suitable repertoire for auditions and gigs and performance skills.

    An advanced course to consolidate the skills required for contemporary singing as a profession and art form, looking at various techniques, musicianship and performance skills through weekly performance tasks. A practical class with a focus on gaining optimum performance experience and expanding stylistic techniques.
