  • Objectives Designed for individuals of differing educational backgrounds who find that their careers have led them into financial advice and management and who wish to strengthen the foundations of their knowledge in these areas. Provides a systematic coverage of modern finance theory including portfolio selection and management; capital budgeting in conditions of certainty and uncertainty; corporate financing decisions; and the operations of the capital market. Examines the Australian capital market and modern empirical work on price determination in stock exchanges. The course is suitable both for graduates in business disciplines, who are seeking to acquire a further specialist qualification, and for graduates in other disciplines, who seek to gain specialist knowledge of finance, and more general training in business subjects.
