Comments about Certificate I in Vocational Preparation (X-Press Program) (Rosebud) - On Campus - Rosebud - Victoria

  • Objectives
The X-Press program is aimed at 15-19 year olds currently at risk of leaving the mainstream education system; it provides an alternative for one term of the school year. The course combines elements of personal development focussing on communication and personal effectiveness where the student is encouraged to make decisions that will promote positive outcomes in terms of future pathways. Students will look at the issues of risk; specifically relating to drugs and alcohol, road safety and first aid; as a means to recognise behaviour that limits future options. The course aims to have students, become more aware of themselves and their impact on others, and develop a positive view of their future options or directions, in relation to returning to study or undertaking a pathway toward rewarding employment options.
