  • Objectives
    These nationally recognised qualifications in cleaning operations and management are the training standards in the cleaning industry. The courses are specifically for staff who are working as contract cleaners or in-house cleaners in a variety of settings including retail centres, office blocks, health care and aged care and the industrial sector. Certificate III provides students with knowledge and skills to select, adapt and transfer a skills base to new environments and provide technical advice and some leadership in the resolution of specific problems. All cleaning courses offer students hands-on practical and technical skills. The higher-level qualifications also focus on management and supervisory skills.
  • Entry requirements
    You will be expected to have relevant language, literacy and numeracy skills at the level that will equip you to achieve the outcomes of the course. You must also read and write documents and complete maths concepts to a Year 10 qualification*. Attendance at an information session is required and your skills may be evaluated at this time. * If you cannot read and write documents and complete maths work to the level required you may still be accepted in to your course/s, but you may be enrolled in additional subjects to help you build the skills needed to successfully complete the program/s.

    Duration
    Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) is a full‑time three-week course. You can expect approximately 40 hours of class attendance each week. Student intakes are dependent on sufficient numbers of students and occur throughout the year.
