This course provides an alternative to apprenticeship training. Students will study all core units and on successful completion receive the Certificate III in Hairdressing qualification. Students will study in a simulated salon environment and participate in industry placement. Chisholm graduates experience strong employment opportunities.

Students are selected for the course according to their aptitude rating on the Occupational Appraisal for Hairdressing.
Direct to Chisholm Institute
Students are required to have a number of resource manuals and their own hairdressing equipment. Details of these materials will be made available on application and are available through the Institute at a very reasonable cost.

Students will study the design elements of a variety of hair structures and gain the knowledge and skills to create finished designs on men and women incorporating a range of structures.

The purpose of these modules is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to perform a range of hair colouring services. Students will apply high lift tints, re-touch and full-head bleach services, full and partial highlighting and colour correction.

WRHCR303A Perform Chemical Straightening and Relaxing Services
Students will gain the knowledge and skills to chemically reform the structure of the hair (permanent wave). In addition, students will apply technique to relax chemically reformed hair or straighten natural hair.
