  • Objectives
    The Certificate IV in Business (Public Relations) will equip you with comprehensive skills and knowledge to enter the public relations sector and related industries. The Advanced Diploma of Business (Public Relations) will enable you to enter the same industries at a more senior level. The Certificate IV in Business (Public Relations) covers event and project management, writing, editing, marketing, computer skills, media communication, multimedia and public relations campaigns. Certificate IV in Business (Public Relations) students will be prepared to gain employment in positions including publicity officer, public relations officer and local government administrative/information officer.
  • Entry requirements
    For non Year 12 applicants, the Certificate IV in Business (Public Relations) and the Advanced Diploma of Business (Public Relations) requires applicants to be at least 18 years of age and to have been out of full-time study for at least 12 months. There are no minimum tertiary entrance requirements for current Year 12 applicants. You will be expected to have suitable language, literacy and numeracy skills needed to undertake your course of choice.

    Duration
    The Certificate IV and Advanced Diploma of Business (Public Relations) are fast-tracked into five terms and is offered full-time or part-time. Classroom attendance starts in February each year but there may be an additional mid-year intake. Classroom attendance is approximately 30 hours per week.

    Links and options exist between various levels of study. Accredited pathways exist enabling students to move between courses within the Gordon and to other higher education institutions.
