    Provides a range of learning opportunities for the study of one of the following disciplines: Technology Science, Information Science, Health Science, Sports science and Natural/Environmental Science. Designed for: * students who do not have science prerequisites for courses which require science * students who wish to progress to a science degree in Perth but want to complete their first year on campus in the South West region; * tradespeople, operators and semi-professionals in mining and other industries where knowledge of science is an advantage * students seeking a gap year experience that also gives them a qualification that can be used to gain entrance or receive advanced standing for other programs; and, * students seeking an experience to help them decide which area of science they wish to focus on.

    This course is available for on-campus study by students with an International student visa.
    This course structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.

    The Diploma in Science is a one-year course of eight units (120 credit points) that provides a range of learning opportunities for the study of one of the following science groups:

    Group A Technology science

    Group B Information science

    Group C Sport science

    Group D Health science

    Group E Natural/environmental science

    Students should select one of the following groups in consultation with the course coordinator. Details of the units in each group are given below:
