The Gordon Institute of TAFE is a government Technical and Further Education institution established by the Vocational Education and Training Act 1990 of Victoria. The Institute is governed by a Ministerially appointed Council which reports annually to Parliament through the responsible Minister. The objectives, powers and functions of the Gordon Institute are set out in the constitution adopted by order of Council 1994
