ObjectivesWorkers completing this course are usually invovled in service delivery, either direct client work and/or health promotion and community development projects. Workers at this level operate at an advanced skill level and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers. They are also required to have an understanding of Indigenous culture and history and to work with local communities in the provision of services.
Entry requirementsStudent maturity is vital given course content and subsequent employment options. Completion of the equivalent of one year full time paid or unpaid work in the human services field is also essential, as well as successful completion of Year 12 or its equivalent and/or a demonstrated ability to work at a Year 12 level. Other Entry Requirements All applicants must attend an information session where an application form will be available. Should eligibility requirements be met, selection will be based on a group interview.
