Master of Accounting

  • Objectives The Master of Accounting is designed to provide an opportunity for students with undergraduate training in other fields to gain a professional accounting qualification. The degree may be commenced in either the January, May or September semesters and requires the equivalent of 12 full unit subjects to be completed in a minimum of four semesters of study. The course offers both a firm academic grounding and a ‘hands on’ understanding of the industry, and is accredited by the CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the National Institute of Accountants.
  • Entry requirements Admission is based on an assessment of work experience, prior academic record and motivation. Applications must have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline other than accounting, or hold a non-degree professional accounting qualification with at least five years’ work experience. Applicants without a recognised prior qualification will be required to undertake a further four full-units of coursework. The additional four units constitute a Graduate Certificate in Business.
