    About the course

    This four-year course allows students to complete the requirements of the Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) and one of three strands for the Bachelor of Business. Students must complete a minimum of 13 core Psychology subjects.

    Students who successfully complete the course are eligible to apply for accredited fourth year psychology courses such as the Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours) or the Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology.

    CSU's Bachelor of Business has a national reputation for excellence. Graduates have good prospects in a wide range of career paths in private and government organisations.

    The course aims to develop critical analysis, scientific method and fundamental thinking, and prepare students to ask the right questions, search for relevant data and interpret results. Students will also develop communication skills such as rational argument, critical evaluation and effective listening and writing.

    The course will help students become acquainted with the substance of business so that they can aspire to accept responsibility and learn to manage technical and organisational change. It will also provide students with skills to become effective managers, able to understand the needs of their subordinates, apply technology, and have an extensive knowledge of the political, economic and social environment.

    The end result will be a depth of understanding that will help students become successful, ethical and professionally responsible business people.

    Residential school

    Distance education students must attend COMPULSORY residential schools for some subjects.

    Graduation requirements

    To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 256 points. Upon completion of the program, students graduate with two awards, the Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) and the Bachelor of Business (with specialisation).
