Training focuses on practical skills required by the landscape, nursery and/or parks and gardens sectors and includes an introduction to: * Plants and their growth requirements * Soils and nutrition * Landscape construction * Plant propagation * Pest and disease identification and control * Safe chemical use * Irrigation

    On successful completion of this certificate you will be eligible for employment as a general hand within the horticulture industry.

    Duration Options

    There are many study options available for the Certificate II in Horticulture, including:

    • Class based
    • Industry based (on-the-job)
    • Part-time day or evening
    • Self paced

    The total duration of the training program will be defined by the negotiated training plan, however you are encouraged to complete this qualification within 12 months.

    Further Study Options    

    On successful completion of this certificate you may choose to progress to the Certificate III in Horticulture.
