Course description
Students enrolled in the postgraduate diploma undertake a research project in a specialist field of study. The degree may serve as a prerequisite for further postgraduate study for those who do not have a BA (Honours) in the chosen field or a related discipline. Upon completion of a postgraduate diploma with an honours grade-average, students may be eligible to apply for entry to a masters or PhD research program.
Students will gain experience in carrying out an advanced research project in a specialist field of study and develop knowledge of the research and theoretical preoccupations current in that field.
Structure
A combination of 5 compulsory and elective subjects, and a thesis component (12,000 words) totalling 100 points (equivalent to 1 year full-time study).
