  • Course description In the first half of this century, as the world’s population grows to around 9 billion, global demand for food, feed and fibre will nearly double. With the added pressure of climate change, food science professionals are essential in finding more sustainable production methods and helping to prevent hunger.

    Exploring the inter-disciplinary nature of agriculture, food production and food science at an advanced level, this innovative graduate program provides a sound foundation in food chemistry, microbiology, quality and processing.

    With food science expertise, you will be well equipped to support the health and wellbeing of Australian and international communities, managing sustainable food production across the entire supply chain.
    Structure

    Over one year of full-time or part-time equivalent study at Parkville Campus, students complete a tailored program of coursework subjects incorporating four core subjects and four electives.
