This course is usually completed full time over 18 weeks, including practical experience, and is delivered at Junortoun.
Part time options are also available as are workplace based traineeships.
Selection Process • Individual Interview
There is a constant need for skilled stablehands in both the standardbred and thoroughbred sectors of the racing
industry. On successfully completing this course you will be eligible for employment in professional stables, working under supervision but with a defined level of responsibility and judgement within known routines.
Further Study Options
Successfully completing the Certificate II
can lead into further study at either Certificate III or Certificate IV levels.
You will not be assessed as part of this course.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of your current qualifications and prior learning: BRIT
has processes to give you credit for relevant units from your prior study, and to assess your prior learning against units in a course.
