    This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to become a harness trainer. This role involves training harness racing horses for outside owners, and may include employing several staff to assist you. Harness trainers often operate interstate, with responsibility for communicating with owners, the media and the general public. A thorough knowledge of the rules of racing and business practice is an essential requirement for trainers.
  • Entry requirements
    Completion of the Certificate III in Racing (Advanced Stablehand) is required. You must also be over the age of 18 to be granted a trainer's licence.
