  • Objectives
    Offers a unique career combination of Design and project development, providing an understanding of both the design practices and the context in which the arts and cultural organisations operate. It addresses the training needs of Designers who wish to work on large scale cultural events or display and exhibition projects. Credence is given to the specialist knowledge required for specific industry tasks such as design for art galleries and museums, cultural and national displays and corporate design or designing and managing cultural events and festivals in urban or regional centres. This program builds the knowledge and specific skills required to design and manage the unique, idiosyncratic and diverse organisations that make up the arts industry.
  • Entry requirements
    Undergraduate degree or equivalent prior learning including at least five years appropriate professional experience in Visual or Media Arts. Interview required. Qualified applicants will then be required to submit a portfolio and proposal. Special admission requirements Prospective students will be invited to an interview. The interview panel will normally comprise the Master of Arts course coordinator and two studio lecturers from the School. Qualified applicants will subsequently be invited to submit a portfolio, a proposal of the practical project to be carried out on the Master programme, and a statement outlining their reasons for seeking admission.
