Designed by internationally renowned educators acknowledged for their global experience this accelerated program blends the most current industry-relevant research with application to business challenges. The MBA program will give you a comprehensive understanding of the theory and practice of management in a fast globalising world.
  • Entry requirements
    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Bond’s School of Business focuses on creating a complementary cohort of students drawn from diverse backgrounds and cultures. You will need to demonstrate strong academic achievement as well as the potential and motivation to assume global leadership roles. The entry requirements are deliberately flexible. Your application is assessed on an individual basis. The entry criteria are listed below: * A quality undergraduate degree from a recognised institution with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 (out of 4) or equivalent * 2 years work experience * A GMAT score of 580 (preferable but not essential) * An interview may be required if you do not strictly meet these requirements. You are not required to fulfil all the criteria but need to show strength across some of the criteria. Additionally you need to provide: * Detailed curriculum vitae documenting work experience * Two 500 word essays to gauge leadership potential (please refer to section 11 of the Application for Postgraduate Admission). * Two references, one of which must be work related. * If English is not your first language you will need an IELTS core of 6.5 with a minimum of 6 on all bands or TOEFL score of 570 (TWE 5); CBT 230 (Essay 5.0); iBT 89 (minimum all sections 17 and writing 20).

  • Course description
     Bond’s MBA can be completed in a minimum of one-year (three semesters) if studied full-time at the Gold Coast campus. If you are a domestic student, you have the option of studying part-time at either our Gold Coast or Sydney campus. You can commence your full-time or part-time MBA at the Gold Coast campus in January or September, or your part-time MBA at Bond’s Sydney campus in May.

    MBA Specialisations

    If studying on the Gold Coast you have the option of undertaking an MBA specialisation in a discipline based area. The standard MBA is 12 subjects, an MBA with a specialisation is 15 subjects. A specialisation enables you focus on an area of interest and better prepare yourself for upper level management positions.

    The following MBA specialisations are available:   

        * MBA (Finance)*
        * MBA (Global Business)*
        * MBA (Information Technology)*
        * MBA (Marketing)*

     
    * This program is currently only available to domestic students. International students should enquire within the Faculty of Business, Technology and Sustainable Development.  
    MBA Combined Degrees

    Bond’s intensive study program allows you to combine your MBA with another masters degree if studying at Bond's Gold Coast campus. You can graduate with two masters-level degrees in the same time it takes to complete a standard MBA at many universities. The MBA combination degree normally requires an additional two or three semesters of study.  The MBA combinations qualify you for management roles in they key divisions of major corporations, placing you in the ideal position for future general management and board-level appointments.  

    You can combine your MBA with one the following degrees:  

        * Master of Accounting
        * Master of Finance
        * Master of Information Technology
        * Master of Marketing  

    Your MBA Program Advisor will individually tailor the program so you’ll complete your specialisation or double degree in the minimum time. 

    Enrolment

    International Students: To fulfil your student visa requirements, you’ll need to enrol in 30cp per semester. However, you may enrol in 40cp per semester (with your Program Advisor’s authorisation) which will reduce the time to complete your program.
    Domestic Students have the option of undertaking either 30 or 40cp per semester.

    Professional Outcomes

    Graduates should have highly developed planning, analytical and interpersonal skills that should enable them to professionally manage a business unit or their own business. As the majority of our students are international in nature, this program also provides worldwide networking opportunities.  Our program integrates the coursework through a final business plan with a focus on developing leaders.

    INTEGRATED LEADERSHIP, GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES AND ENTREPENEURSHIP

        * Business Planning and Strategy (Capstone Project)
        * Corporate Entrepreneurship
        * International Business
        * Elective*

    * For the standard MBA your elective subject choices are:

        *     One postgraduate subject offered by the School of Business.
        *     One subject from the following list:

              o Executive Skills and Perspectives
              o Personal Investment
              o Strategic Human Resources Management
              o Value Chain Management

     

    For an MBA with a specialisation or an MBA combined degree both electives are drawn from your chosen discipline.
